Space planning is the process of using standard drafting concepts to create detailed drawings of your interior space. This allows visualization of the design process starting with your current design, incorporating initial new design ideas, then working through any iterations of different options before any physical disruption occurs.

We do all of our space planning on the computer with an industry leading tool called 20-20 Design™. With 20-20 Design™ we are able to be more efficient, accurate, and adaptable than we could with hand drafting. 20-20 Design™ also provides advanced functionality for more complex design needs including rendering, perspective and elevation planning, and costing.

Detailed space planning is required for kitchen and bath projects due to the higher level of detail needed on components such as cabinet sizing, appliance and hardware layouts, countertops, and precise measurements.

Space planning can also be used as a beneficial option in designing other rooms to help visualize furniture layouts and make sure items such as art and accessories are appropriately sized for the room.
